BUENOS AIRES TO NEW YORK Received Tuesday, 3 p.ui. LONDON, Nov. IS. Advice has been received in London that Aliss Jean Batten is immediately attempting a record flight from Buenos Aires to New York. Located by Psychic Research ? Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. IS. Air. Stanley Beach, aeronautical editor of tho Scientific American magazine, and who claims that he has a system of locating aviators by means of psychic research, told the Australian Associated Press agency that he employed a male German medium in an attempt to' locate Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. Mr. Bench put questions to the medium and received the attached replies as follows: .Are Kiugsford Smith and Petliybridge alive?—No. Did the aeroplane come down on land?—No. How far "rom the shore did it strike the water —75 miles. Did the ship sink immediately?—No. • How long did tho ship stay- afloat? —Three hours 32 seconds. Were both drowned when the ship sank? —Yes. What time did the ship strike the water? —8.12 a.m. Air. Beac then produced a map and asked the medium to mark the spot where the ship came down. The medium marked, a spot at latitude 17.2i4deg. longitude 97.727d0g, and said that a wing of the ship should mnv be found lying 08 miles off the shore where it was last seen.
