From Our Own Correspondent. Last Friday evening a very enjoyable social and dance was held for Lnc local school funds, being con due toil by the combined services of the Parents’ Association and the school committee. Mr Welwyn, of the Ford Entertainers, made a lively AI.C., and all those present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Air AI. Hansen, oil behalf of both committees, thanked All- Welwyn and his party for coming out and assisting so much. Ho added that all hoped to see them again m the near future. Mr ftyd. Morris won the goose that was donated by Air Neil Campbell. Several lucky dances were competed for, tho winners being: Gay Gordons, Airs Welwyn and Air fc>. Morns; spot waltz, Airs. C. Wood and Mr. U. Penborthy; Alonte Carlo waltz, Air. Wood atul partner. Supper was served by the committee, Personal. Air, and Airs. J. Cheetham have returned homo after spending a holiday with their daughter, Alts. Belcher, of Stratford. Aliss Kensly, of Alarton, is the guest ot Mrs. Alaiden. Airs Stilton and her small daughter Joan, of Auckland, arc visiting -Mr. and Airs. R. Purton. . Airs. E. A. Shaw is visiting friends m Hastings. She will then go on to Taradale and Greenmeadows. Air. and Mrs. W. G. Shannon and Air. G. Ar. Whltelock are competing in the Hastings Royal Show, and all wish them every success.
