On Thursday afternoon members of the Milson Women’s Institute garden circle held a bridge afternoon, quite a large • dithering of ladies being present, those winning were Mrs Rabone, highest score for beginners, and Mrs Hewett, highest score The lucky numbers for beginners 'were held by Mrs Bennetto and Airs Parkes Those present were Alesdames Fraser, Bailie, Finch, Smith. Fail-brother, Jamieson, Baker, Gaipin, Patterson, MeAvoy Bennetto, Rabonc, Bulmer, Johnston, ’Feehan, AlcKenna, .Murphy, Benwick Williams, Johansen, Morris, White, Woods, McKenzie, Parks, Roils, Hewett, Prentice, Munro, Templeton. Casey, Harvev, Aliases D’Ath, Prentice, and Terry. Tho hostesses for the afternoon were I Alesdames Alttnro, Templeton, Casey, ' Harvey and Miss Prentice. - The social committee of tho .Milson ' Tennis Club held a 500 evening on Friday ' night, quite a number of people partici- * pating. Airs Barclay and Mrs Cornier ' tied for first place and in tho play-oti, 5 Airs Bat-clay was successful. For the men’s prize Air E. Johansen secured most I games while Air J. Baikie was successful l ’ in winning the special prize. Tho Milson Tennis Club held its luiai - dance of the season on Saturday night. - Quito a number of people were present, t including visitors from other parts of the s district. Air Smith presided at tho piano t and Air T. dimming was M.C. Personal. Air J. Baikie of Cambridge street, has e returned after spending his annual vacas tion. lie was a visitor to tho Hawke’s g Bav' and Wairarapa districts. Mrs Condef, of Wangamomona, and late of Milson, is at present visiting it friends in Palmerston North and dis- - trict. Air A.
