LAMB PRICES ADVANCE Lamb market: Prices have advanced owing to reducing stocky. Consumption continues, good, but affected by heavy Home-killed supplies. Mutton market: Wethers quiet with , heavyweights slightly' easier. Ewes: Market steady and unchanged. Beef market: Prices shade easier, but 'demand improving. New Zealand porker pigs: Trade slow owing to unsuitable weather and large Home-killed supplies. Now Zealand baeoner pigs: Nominal. The above report was received on Saturday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following arc tho approximate average prices realised for the week ended October 4, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned, and are for the representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smitlifield market and/or ex London stores. Prices for tho two previous weeks arc also shown: —
