ANNUAL GIFT AFTERNOON The annual gift afternoon of the P.W.M.U. was held in St. Paul's hall on Wednesday afternoon, the president, Mrs. Ctosnell, presiding over a good attendance. A splendid programme was greatly enjoyed, those performing being Mrs. Aynsley, Miss Roma McClure and Miss Iris Dewar, who gave vocal solos. Miss Garrett played pianoforte solos and accompanied Miss Hausmann in two 'cello solos. Miss Alethea Raynor and Miss Merle Gibson provided elocutionary items Which were much appreciated. T.wo amusing competitions added to the enjoyment of the afternoon, the prizes going to Mesdames Hooper, Poster and Dewe. Mrs. S. Pearce mover a hearty vote of thanks to the performers. A delicious afternoou tea was served by Mesdames McDowall and Watts. The afternoon concluded ivith the singing of the National Anthem. A collection in aid of the missions amounted to £7.
