Feilding Helps Makogai Island Lepers
In response to the call made by the honorary collector in New Zealand for Christmas gifts to be sent to lonely and isolated lepers on Makogai Island in the Fiji, group Mr E. Way, of Fergusson street, Feilding, set to work among the business houses of Feilding. As a result of a personal canvass Mr Way has received an interesting collection of most suitable gifts covering a wide rango of articles such as toys, puzzles, boxes of sweets, games, musical instruments, sewing silks, soaps, pipes, etc. Should others feel they would like to contribute towards the parcel of goods that will go forward to the Islands Mr Way asks that they be sent in at once as he hopes to despatch his contribution on Monday.
