Buttonholes on linen or other heavy fabrics are attractive and durable if bound with the same material instead of working them with a needle and thread. Use paper clips instead of pins for holding seams together -for stitching. These clips can also be used instead of pins when turning up tho hem of a garment because they stay 'exactly where they arc put, and do not drop out, ■
