£3,510,000 in Death Duties
WHISKY WINDFALL FOR BRITISH TREASURY United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, sept, 20. Lord Woolavington (head of the famous whisky firm of Buchanan’s) left £7,100,000, of which £3,510,000 was paid in death duties. His daughter Catherine, wife of Captain Macdonald Buchanan, is the principal legatee. Numerous bequests are made to other relatives and employees. A clause in the wiU directs that all benefactions to poor relations and others shall be continued.
