A suggestion put forward by Air J. H. Stevens to mombors of the gardening circle of the Palmerston North Townwomen’s Guild at a recent meeting is worthy of consideration; Explaining that tho City Council had adopted a schemo put forward by a former Afagistrate of tho city to name new streets after New Zealand, native trees, the speaker expressed regret that the Council had not gone on to impress the trees on the residents by planting them in their own particular streets.
