Golden Wedding of Mr. And Mrs. E. E. Ingpen
Of interest to Foilding aud Hatcombo residents was the golden wedding of Air and Mrs E. E. Ingpen, of Pukckohe, which was celebrated on Monday last. They wore married at To Aute, Hawke’s Bay, on September 23, IBSS. Airs Ingpen was a daughter of tho late Mr Spencer Sutton, of To Aute. Following thoir marringo, Air and Airs Ingpen resided at To Aute for several years, Air Ingpen being stationmaster at that town. Thoy then transferred to Takapau, later to Haleombe, to Inglewood, to Taihnpe, to Hunterville, and thoneo to Utiki, where Air Ingpen finished his 40 years’ service with the New Zealand Railways and retired on superannuation. About 15 years ago the couple settled at Pukekohc. During the week-end Air and Airs Ingpen and their seven children held a family reunion, the first held since tho Great War. Those present were: Alessrs S. Ingpen (Wellington), F. G. Ingpen (Ilikurangi), E. E. Ingpen (Auckland), N. L. Ingpen (Te Kuiti) aud Airs C. Cooper (Pukekohc), Airs Thompson (Pukekohc) and Airs Dudding (Whangarei). There are 18 grandchildren.
