From Our Own Correspondent, Bridge Evening. A pleasant briugo and live hundred evening was given by Mr and Mrs J. H. Williamson on Saturday night to farewell Mrs B. Whelan, prior to her departure on Tuesday for Auckland to join the ltangitane en route for England. The cardroom and lounge decorations were beautiful with bowls of spring flowers and maidenhair fern. Winners of the bridge were All’s N. J. Short and Air W. Booth and the five hundred ilrs Whelan and All- N. Guylie. Supper was handed round. Amongst Lhose invited were Airs Li. Whelan wearing a smart black model gown with a while fur bridge coat; Airs A. E. Pearce; Air and Mrs N. G. Short; Airs Petersen; Mrs Trevor Shannon; Mr and Airs E. Pearce; Air and Mrs W. Booth; Air and Airs It, Northcoat; Air and Airs Arnold Shannon; Mrs C. England; Alisses Pearce 111,1; Shannon (2); .1. Goad; D. Shannon, AXessvs N. Guylie, A'. Shannon, B. Shannon, G. Coggin.
