Reduce Trade Barriers

Leslie Buigin, Parliamentary Secretary of the British Board of Trade, expressed the view that the local and limited signs of economic recovery which had taken place so far could only lie made genera! by freeing (lie channels of international trade. He declared that the British Government was in favour ol any step which would increase the volume of world trade and for that reason retained jts c mfideuce m the principle of the most-favoured nation cl nr. as tending to reduce trade barriers.
