FINES TO BE INCREASED EVERY TIME Per Press Association. AVIIANGAREI, Aug. 19. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Charles Schou and" Arthur" Lambesa were each fined iDo. for permitting their premises to be used as common gaming houses. Each was given 14 days in which to pay the line. Magistrate Morris,, when inflicting the lines, said: “I am here to stop the practice,, however impossible that may seem. It' a man is foolish enough to go on bookmaking after having been heavily fined, his fine will be increased every time he appears until it stops.
