Important counter attractions to a certain extent affected the attendance at Wednesday's euchre and ping pong evening and a number of the younger set were not as usual present. The first cam prizes were won by Mrs P. B, Simpson and Mr Schreibcr and the sealed h> -Mis Wilton and Master lan Simpson Mrs L. Stuart-Moray and Mr W. K Baker donated ’ the awards. Ritchie to provide the music." After supper the opportunity was liken to present Mrs Ape! with a. lea Waggon and her husband with a. pipe and tobacco pouch. The presentation was made by Mr P. K. Simpson, who insii table terms voiced the good wishes of the assemblage for the' future happiness of tho newly weds.- Following the singing of They Are Jolly Good Fellows, Mr Ape) on behalf of his wife and himself, thanked their friends for the pleasant evening and very nice -gifts. • .
