Late Will Rogers Film is Scheduled

“DOUBTING THOMAS” WILL BE WATCHED BY ALL (State: Screening Wednesday Next.) Will Rogers’ fans all over the country are waiting for the laugh holiday that wil give them their late star in “Doubting Thomas,” in which Will portrays the funniest role he has yet attempted, in a picture that is a laugh cyclono by itself. Advance reports have it that this Fox Film, produced by B. G. DeSylva and directed by David Butler from the play “The Torch Bearer,” by George Kelly, has a rib-rocking effect on all the audiences of the theatres in which it is played. Rogers portrays tho role of a simple, home-loving sausage manufacturer, whoso home-life is suddenly tossed into a turmoil when an amateur impresario, Alison Skipworth (who played tho same rolo on the stage) persuudes his wifeBillie Burke, that sko has been suppressed all her married life and that she really belongs to the stage and her public. v Rogers’ son, Frank Albertson, iiuds that his sweetie, Frances Grant, has also becomo stage-struck.
