Deadlock Versus Deathlock
SINGH DISLOCATES McCREADY’S KNEECAP
BUT LOSES BY PLAYING TO GALLERY WELLINGTON, Last Night. The crowd that packed tho Wellington Town Hall to-night saw a sensational end to the wrestling bout between Earl McCready and Jaget Singh. McCready by a submission fall gained with his octopus deathlock in the sixth round won the bout, but ho finished writhing 'on the canvas as the last gong struck and was by n matter of a few seconds a lucky man not to have had tho contest drawn.
The culmination came exactly one minute before the end of the last round when Singh stood up with his ferocious Indian deathlock fully implied, but playing to tho gallery he failed to put on sufficient pressure. McCready held out to tho gong and was then carried to his corner where a dislocated kneecap was pulled into place.
Blomfield and Anderson Draw DUNEDIN, Last Night. A packed liouso witnessed a professional wrestling contest held in the Town hall this evening between Lofty Blomfield (16.10) and Ole Audrcson (15.5) which resulted in a draw, one fall each.
