From Our Own Correspondent. Last Saturday night’s euchre and dance proved quite a success, there being a good crowd in attendance. Miss B. Shanahan proved to be the lucky one last week, while Mr S. Judd again carried off the men’s prize. Consolation prizes wero won by Mrs C. Evans and Mr G. Schnell. After supper dancing followed, music for which was provided by Mrs J. Matheson, Miss B. Perry and Miss C. Evans. The ladies’ dressing room now provided at the school does credit to the working bee which so willingly gave up a recent Saturday afternoon. An electric light has been installed and there is no doubt there is a marked improvement. This working bee also cut the school hedges, which is a big help to tho committee.

Aiiss B. Thompson, avlio journeyed to Wellington for tho W.D.F.U. 1 conference, was forced to return last Aveek on account of illness.

Airs W. B. LoAves spent tlio week in Wellington and attended the W.D.F.U. conference; also Airs EdAvards. Aiiss P. LoAves leaves on August 8 for a tour in England. She is .to be accompanied by her cousin, Aiiss Cameron. Air J. Clarke has been spending a week in Wellington. Friends of Air T. Baines (Feilding) will regret to hear that he is at present laid up Avith illness. Airs C. Schnell is staying at NeAvbury. Aiiss R. Schnell is visiting her sister, Mrs H. Sellens, of Karori, AVellington. Air J. Fulton returned from Taumarunui last Aveek.
