Hansen paid a business visit to Wellington on Monday, returning home the following day. Mr Rangi Teito was admitted to me hospital on Tuesday to undergo an operation for appendicitis the same day. A drama circle meeting was held on Wednesday but owing to a very wet day tho attendance was poor. The euchre and dance arranged by the drama circle will be held on August 21, full particulars of which will be advertised. Last week the Manawatu Drainage Board’s employees were at work cleaning out tho various drains in the district. Milson’s and Cameron’s lines have been getting very pot-holed lately and roadmen are giving Milson’s line a coat of metal which is not pleasant to pedestrians or cyclists but when settled down should make a good surface.
