Pahiatua

There was a largo number of old and new members at the annual meeting of tho Bush Herd Testing Association held recently and tho president, Mr A. Campbell, of Eketahuna, who presided, expressed his pleasure at seeing such ati enthusiastic gathering. The annual report covered the year's activities and showed the steady progress that has been made during the season. The summary of butterfat returns for 1931-55 was: 3178 cows, 2.75 days, 25Slbs fat. It was decided that tho coming season consist of nine tests, the first to commence ill the middle of August, as some preferred August testing to June testing. Any member desiring a tenth test will pay extra for it, if the executive Hinds it essential to make a small additional charge. The election of officers was then dealt with. Tho retiring members front the executive committee were Messrs A. G. Bolder (Ektuhunu district) and T. C. RhodcsJaekson (Woodville district) and R. J. AAkide (Pahiatna district). Air It. Farrow was elected for the Eketahuna district, Air R. J. Wade was re-elected for Pahiatua and Air John Alitchell for the Woodville end. An expression of appreciation for the good services of Afessrs Colder and lthodes-Jnekson was given.
