During Thursday evening last a daring theft of seven bales of wool was perpetrated from Mr. L. D. S. Marshall's woolshed, Fern Flats, Marten. It appears that the bales were removed by motor a: there are indications of a lorry having been parked alongside a plantation about 400 yards from the woolshed and evidently the bales of wool were carried from the woolshed to the lorry. A bale ot wool was also found in a paddock leading to wheic the lorry was parked, apparently d iopped in transit. The police are making investigations.
