Brightening Up the Show
EXPENDITURE WELL JUSTIFIED Reporting in connection with the recent Winter Show, Mr. H. Kissling (secretary) told yesterday's meeting of the general committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association that the altered lay-out in the halls, the free entertainment and the aquarium had cost £194 in all. He added that the increases in revenue —gates £469, entry fees £66, privileges £lO and space £79 —appeared to have amply merited the additional expenditure. A point that should not bo lost sight of was that a good deal of this expense would not recur for some time. In addition quite a quantity of stadium benching was left for use round the judging rings at the Spring Show. Mr. J. J. Stevenson congratulated Mr. Kissling on what ho had done for the association. During the short time ho had been here ho had pushed things along wonderfully. Mr. T. If. Hoddcr paid a tribute to Mr. Kissling’s organising work, initiative and ability.
