Novel Presentation Of Sermon on Mount

DIALOGUE BETWEEN PASTOR AND TWELVE “DISCIPLES.”

A novel presentation that lent added significance to the message contained in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount was adopted in tho Cuba Street Methodist Church last night. It took the form of a dialogue in an effort to recapture the reality of tho original. The minister, Rev. H. L. Richards, took up a position in front of the congregation, while 12 young men filed in and grouped themselves around him to represent tho disciples. Rev Richards then commenced a discourse to them in the words of Christ collated from the four gospels. From the body of the church an inquirer came up with the query: “What must J. do to inherit eternal life?” Tho appropriate reply was given-by Mr. Richards, with tile injunction to “Sell all that thou hast.” Nor was tho disciplo who sought to know his place in heaven left unanswered.

The scripture portion lost nothing in the revereneo of its reception for the innovation made. The service was one particularly for youug people.
