Chilled Beef Has Come To Stay
MAY SUPERk-tiDE IKQZEN Per Press Association. MASTERTON, June 6. Some experts aro of tho opinion it is stated on good authority, that within two years the chilled beef trade will practically supersede frozen. The proportion of chilled to frozen beef quart-
ers shipped this season was about one to six, but probably that percentage of chilled will now increase more rapidly. .Since February, 1983, 23 shipments have been made by T. Borthwick and Sons, mostly from the Waingawa works. The firm now considers the industry has come to stay and is regarded as commercially successful.
