Tragic Ending to Adventurous Voyage

STORM IN BAY OF BENGAL United Press Association.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. CALCUTTA, April 29. Tragedy ended the adventures ot Ernest Gruenfeld aud W. Tommcl when the small boat in which they were sailing round the world sank during a storm in the Bay of Bengal. Tcmmcl was drowned, but Gruenfeld swam four miles to Bandwip Island, m the estuary of the Gangs*;, where he was picked up by a passing steamer. Gruenfeld left Vienna in 1931. He now possesses only a shirt and a pair of borrowed shorts.
