Crosby Enacts Light Comedy Role in Film
“HERE IS MY HEART” BRINGS BACK CROONER (Kosy: Screening Wednesday Next.) Bing Crosby's new Paramount picture, “Here Is My Heart,” presents screenland’s famous crooner with another opportunity to display his comedy talent as well as his singing ability. The picture is a bright arti frivolous little comedy written about a millionaire crooner’s heroic courtship of a haughty princess with whom he falls in love at sight in an elevator.
| Unable to meet the princess, Crosby buys the hotel in which she lives, and, with the aid of a false moustache and beard, disguises himself as her waiter. Then, litfclo by little, tho princess warms to his charm and comes under the influence of his singing And, although Crosby ha 3 to tend the princess’ dogs and parrot and support her profligate family, he finally wins her, although a misunderstanding threatens their happiness for a time. Kitty Carlisle is cast as the princess, opposite Crosby, and Alison Skipworth, Roland Young and Reginald Owen are prominent in the supporting cast. Ralph Raingcr and Leo Robin, writers of the hit song, "Love in Bloom,” have composed several new tunes for Crosby in this picture, including “With Every Breath I Take,” and “June in January.” Frq.uk Tuhtuq directed.
