Cases of bouse and shop-breaking in the London police area numbered 3085 in the three months ended Januray 31 last. Of these, 2673 are still unsolved.
Both the drivers of tho British 'train that recently set up a world’s speed record of over 100 miles an hour were over 60 years of age.
