Prices for second quality and heavy prime frozen lamb in Lomlou are slightly lower, but other sorts are steady, according to the weekly cable received by the New Zealanu Meat Producers’ Board. Consumption is steadily improving, but heavy arrivals of Australian lamu are depressing the market. The market for wether mutton is slightly easier, with trade slow. Ewe mutton is steady, with fair trade. The beef market is quiet and unchanged. There is a steady' market for New Zealand porker pigs, which are meeting with fair trade.
