The track was fast. The club reverted to the single pool totalisator on a 75-25 basis, handling £6SGS 10s, compared with £7306 10s last year. Silver Streak and Sam Smith were first away from Guarantee. Silver Streak maintained a good lead in the straight, where Guarantee moved up fast lo beat the favourite. Sam Smith was fourth.
