Second Day of Bowling Visit
SOUTH AUCKLANDERS ENGAGE MANAWATU CLUBS
Yesterday morning the touring South Auckland bowlers engaged in a second match w-itli Manawatu Centre rinks, there being six matches on the Northern, green and six at Terraco End. Ihe games proved most interesting and enjoyable, confirming the opinion that this visit has been one of the most successful undertaken this season.
Later the players departed for Feilding, and after playing there yesterday afternoon, proceeded to Wanganui, where they will undertake a further match to-day. Other centres lo be visited arc Ilawcru, New Plymouth and Waitara. At Terrace End

Aggregate at Terrace End: South Auckland 11-1, Manawatu 112.
Match aggregate: South Auckland 269, Manawatu 205. At both games ail appropriate welcome was extended the players before the commencement of the match. At Terrace End the president, Air W. J. Pearce, assured the tourists that Terrace End players were glad to welcome them to the green, which, even though it might be a little heavy after rain, was usually fast and in splendid condition thanks to its excellent supervisor, Air Tantrum. He hoped that, during their travels, they would enjoy themselves not only on the greens but in their social activities. The presidI ent expressed the hope that next year Alanawatu might be able to make a ! reciprocal visit. He trusted the pre-
sent tour would conclude as happily and successfully as it had begun.
Replying on behalf of tho visitors, Air North said that they had enjoyed every moment of their sojourn in Palmerston North. lie congratulated the Alanawatu centre on its good fortune in possessing a secretary of the calibre of Air A. F. Wimsett, who was a model of what a secretary should be. His excellent arrangements had made the visit doubly enjoyable. At his suggestion cheers were enthusiastically given for Air Wimsett.
