It declares that there is imminent danger of a rupture as any local incident may serve as a pretext for military action. Ethiopia’s independence as a member of the Lcaguo is imperilled. Abyssinia also invokes Article 10 of the League Covenant, whereby members agree to protect the integrity of fellow’ members of the League.
