AIR SERVICE ILLUSTRATION United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, March 19. The Swiss Air Service and Imperial Airways have jointly inaugurated a new London-Zurich service. The Swiss Air Service is using a Douglas twin-engined monoplane, which takes 31 hours, while Imperial Airways’ biplanes will take six hours. The Daily Telegraph’s aviation correspondent says the British machines use 57 horse-power per passenger, compared with the 100 horse-power per passenger of the Douglas machine, illustrating the truism that speed costs money.
