Farewell Dance at Feilding

Mr. Keith Smith, who has taken up a position in Hastings, was given a very jolly dance on Thursday evening last at the W.D.F.U. rooms. Mauve and pink tones were introduced into the lounge by delightfully arranged asters and the party that was organised by a number of friends proved a great success. After supper Mr. Jack Pearce, on behalf of those present, asked Mr. Smife to accept a leather suitcase as a parting gift and with best wishes for the future. The singing of “He’s a Jolly Good Fellow’’ was followed by Mr. Smith suitably expressing his thanks. Soon- after midnight the festivities were brought to an end in the time-honoured custom of singing “Auld Lang Syne.”
