Wanganui Education Board
MONTHLY MEETING. (Special to "Times.”) WANGANUI, Last Night. The November meeting of the Wanganui Education Board was held this afternoon, when a full board was present, namely: Messrs. E. F. Hemingway (chairman), Colonel J. H. Whyte, Eev. G. King, and Messrs. M. H. Oram, A. S. Coleman, J. S. Tingey, J. K. Hornblow, P. Munro, B. Dukeson and W. Benefield. Tho Linton School Committee invited the board to attend the opening of the Linton building on Friday. It was decided to add a sleeping porch to the teachers’ residence at Stanwav.
Resignations were accepted as follow: Miss TV. Fitzgerald, solo teacher, Main South road;-, Miss L. Sheppard, assist-ant-teacher, Kiwitea; Miss N. M. Jenkinson, assistant-teacher, TVaitotara; Miss C. M. Laurenson, relieving staff; Miss D. N. Brown, assistant, Cheltenham.
The Palmerston North Presbyterian Young Women’s Bible Classes made application for the use of the Lytton Street (Feilding) School buildings for a camp during the Easter holidays. It was decided to grant the request.
