MELBOURNE, Nov. 20. “I shall never i'orget the people of Victoria for the honour they have paid mo in making me their guest during the Centenary celebrations,” said Mr. John Masefield, the Poet Laureate, before leaving for Sydney. “It will be rather a wrench for mo to go back to the cold fogs of England’s midwinter. To you, the people of the sun, a grateful farewell.”
