Exploration by Air In Glaciated Wastes
HAROLD JUNE’S THIRD FLIGHT United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LITTLE AMERICA, Nov. 19. Harold June started his third and important exploration flight this afternoon. He expects to cover about 700 nautical miles in making an aerial survey of the hitherto unpenetrated glaciated wastes of Marie Byrd Land and the long prolongation of Edsel Ford Land. To-day the tractor party reported that it had successfully retreated from the crevasses just south of the 81st. parallel, moving north-east to reach a good surface, which the aviators located for them during their flight two days ago.
