JAPAN BUYING WOOL. MELBOURNE AND BRISBANE. MELBOURNE, Nov. 20. The wool sales have been i—umed. A fair selection was submitted. Japanese buyers were the chief operators. As compared with last sales' results prices were 5 to 74 per cent, lower. Merinos sold up to comeback to 14-id.' BRISBANE, Nov. 20. Brisbane wool sales were resumed. The market was generally firm as compared with rates ruling in Sydney last, week. Japan was the principal buyer. Top prices realised for greasy wool were laid per lb., and scoured 24d per lb. PACKED IN VACUUM. CARRIAGE OF DAIRY PRODUCE. LONDON, Nov. 19. Vacuum Packed Produce, Ltd., has been registered with a capital of £250,000 in 480,000 shares of 5s each. Sir Thomas Wilford is chairman. DOLLAR AND STERLING. LONDON, Nov. 19. Sterling exchange, London on New York/4.98 J dollars.

The original par value of the United States dollar with sterling is 4.86 2-3 dollars, but since February 1, 1934, when the dollar was devalued, par value is S.-23 31-32. PRICE OF GOLD. LONDON, Nov. 19. The price of gold is 139 s 74d per fine ounce. Per oz.
