Baptist Women’s Mission Union

PRESIDENT VISITS FEILDING. On Wednesday afternoon Miss Beckinsale, of Dunedin, who was recently elected president of the Baptist Women’s Mission Union, visited Fcilding and was the guest at a meeting of the local branch.

Miss Bcckinsale’ was ou the mission field in India for nearly 40 years as a New Zealand missionary, and has only just retired from the work. But she' is still on duty for the cause, as a deputation touring the Dominion. The guest spoke for an hour on her work ou the mission field and told many stories of quaint experiences with the people, who listened to the Gospel message with keenness. .Mrs Noel Robinson contributed vocal solos during the afternoon. Mrs Page occupied the chair, and afternoon, tea was dispensed.
