Feilding Borough

MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. The FeUding Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. C. E. Taylor, presiding. There were also’prescnt: Crs. AV. W. Andrews, J. Corpe, G. Darragh, 1). Fainvealher, S. D. Pearce and A. C. McCorkindale. In connection with the remits for the forthcoming Municipal Conference, the council decided to leave it. to the Mayor to draw up remits relative to the distribution of funds from motor taxation. The council decided to adopt the recommendation of the finance committee that the Fcilding Football Association be charged 10 per cent, on all gross takings, inclusive of charges for admission to the stand with a minimum charge for each season of £25, for the use of Johnston Fork football ground. Accounts totalling £3OOO Ss 3d were passed- for payment.
