United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Sept. 21. At the annual meeting of the Taxpayers’ Association of New South Wales, the president, Mr S. McKellar White, said that New South Wales was the most heavily taxed State in the world. The combined Federal and State taxes for the year ended June 30, 1933, in this State, amounted to £ls 10s lrf per head, which did not include municipal and local rates, which averaged 19s 3d per head.
