First Meeting of Townswomen’s Guild

The first meeting of the newly formed Townswomen’s Guild will take place in the Empire hull on Monday afternoon when members of various women’s organisations will be the guests of the guild and ' Airs. Mansford will preside. The aims and ideals of townswomen’s guilds will be outlined and there will be a demonstration on beaten brass work by Mrs. J. Ren wick, of Palmerston North; also vocal solos by Mrs. J. K. Paton, the programme concluding with afternoon tea.
