The children’s fancy dress hall was held on Eriday evening and was .(thoroughly enjoyed by the many who were present The children, had been taugnt some folk dances and their execution of these reilected great credit upon tneir teachers, Mr. JUunro and Miss They. There were also organised games and these were entered into with great gusto. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. A. Dickin, thanked the parents for their attendance and also lor the trouble they had taken, in arraying the children in fancy dresses. Ido also thanked the ladies for providing the supper and expressed the hope that the function, which proved such a success, would become an annual event. Ho also extended tnc thanks of tho committee to Air. Munro and Miss Titey for the trouble they had taken m preparing tho programme lor the evening, ■pile supper arrangements were in the capable hands of Mesdames Colder, Davies, Jlabey and Thorne, and tile ladies deserve great credit lor the able manner m which they handled the arrangements. After the children had had supper, the floor was given up to tne adults who kept the dance going until shortly after midnight. Tho music for the dancing was supplied by Airs. Nelson, Air. Gleadow and Air. At. Bcrnston. Air. Giililaml was AI.G.
