SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIPIN ALS. GIE SEN AND DUTJIIE FINALISTS. On Saturday afternoon tho semifinals in the Feilding Golf Club's senior championship were played, when L. M. Gicscn defeated E. M. Jlaro 2 and .1, and J". B. Dutliic defeated J. Connell V and 6. The first match witnessed keen and close play throughout, tho club’s ex-champion prevailing iu the end. Duthie, who is defending tho title, went round in 75 and had no uillicuity in accounting for his opponent, who failed to produce tho font which he had displayed in earlier matches. Giescn and Duthie will play off over 30 holes on a date to be fixed. Senior Championship. Second round: Gicscn beat Fair, Haro beat Father Hcgarty, Duthie beat Gorton, Connell beat Stiehbury. Third round: Gicscn beat Hare, Duthie beat Connell. Junior Championship. Second round: Simpson beat W. MeCorkindalc, Whiblcy beat Cullmane, Parkes beat Gibsone, Coleman beat Hill. Bogey Match. The bogey match played on Saturday afternoon attracted a largo entry, but the unsettled weather conditions put many players off their putt. Soon after starting a rain and hailstorm swept over Feilding, but conditions improved immediately afterwards. Details arc as follows: A Grade. J. Graham, 1 up. Father Hcgarty, 1 down. K. G. Salmond, 1 down, F. P. Fawcett, 2 down. L. Gorton, 2 down. B Grade. J, Simpson, -4 up. D. C. Culliuanc, 1 up. L. G. Ewcn, 1 down. E. Allen, 2 down. J. C. Wliibley, 2 down. A. C, McCorkindale, 3 down. J. C. Hill, 3 down. MATCH AGAINST TE MATAI. On Wednesday next Feilding will send a team to Palmerston North to play the Tc Matai Club in the return match. In conjunction with this visit Feilding will play for tho Nathan Cup ■ which is at present held by the Tc Matai Club.
