Sunshine Club Members Visit Old People’s Home

Members of the Palmerston North Sunshino Club journeyed out t,o the Old People’s Home at Awapuni yesterday and provided a very pleasant afternoon’s entertainment for tho inmates. The president, Mr 3. B. P. Mitchell, opened proceedings by conveying cordial greetings after which the following contributed items: —Miss F. Doherty, songs; Miss Zita Leamy, pianoforte solos; Mrs. McLachlan, songs; Mrs. Akuira, Maori songs; Miss Griflin, songs; little" Miss Waller, Highland dance. Miss Loamy officiated as aecompaniste. Afternoon tea was served and before tho party returned to town thanks were conveyed on behalf of tho old people by Mr. J. Burgess.
