Representative Football
MANAWATU V. WATRAEAPA. Tho next representative match to be played by tho Manawatu senior fifteen will bo against Wairarapa at Johnston Park (Feilding) to-morrow at 2.30 p.m. Patrons who witnessed tho Hawke's Bay match can again bo assured of an excellent match. Tho Wairarapa side is no mean one, for they defeated the elect of Wellington this season, which shows they aro capable of football of the highest order. Our boys are playing great football this season and havo been somewhat unlucky iu their last two matches, for in both of them they havo had a generous sharo of the game and yet come out the losers. However, they promise, to mako amends tiiis time against Wairarapa by not only having the better of the match but to come out victors. Tomorrow ? s match should bo productive of really attractive and interesting football. Looking back over tho last few years the honours have been divided between the two unions for from 1931 to 1933, and each year each union has won one and lost one match, and out of tho total matches, six iu all, Manawatu has won three and Wairarapa three. The meeting of these two teams has always been productive of scintillating, open football, and this the first meeting for tho 1334 season should prove another fine exhibition of the Bugby code. country visitors might be enabled to witness this very fino match it has been timed .to commence at 2.30 p.m.
