The weather was full for the resumption of the Australians’ match with Scotland, the wicket drying after the rain which prevented play yesterday. Quick scoriug by Australia saw their total carried from 144 for three wickets to 267 for four wickets, Kippax and Barnett hatting with confidence and aggression, and being not out at the luncheon adjournment with 5S and 62 respectively. LONDON, July 29th. Bradman’s condition is unchanged. He is not allowed to see visitors. Hobbs’ Ambition LONDON, July 29. The Dispatch states that J. B. Hobbs’ life ambition to score 200 centuries is unlikely to be realised, though the n-reat batsman already has made .197 centuries for Surrey. Ho will not play again for Surrey this season, and has given up hope of further invitations. Altered lbw Law - LONDON, July 29. In a letter to the Observer' the excriekcter, F. G. Ford, discloses that the M.C.C. committee, acting upon the recommendation of a special sub-commit-tee, decided that the altered lbw law applied only to balls pitching on the off side. Tho new law is to be given a full trial in 1935. Ames’ Hand Hurt LONDON, July 29. Ames, England’s wicket-keeper, hurt his hand in tho match Players v. Gen tlcmen, and is unable to keep wicket.
