STATE THEATRE. LAST DAY OF “MAN OF TWO WORLDS. ’ ’ Francis Lederer, acting sensation of the European and Broadway stage, is presented .in this RlvO-Radio production, which, wilt have its final screenings at the State Theatre to-day and to-night. Heralded as an artist with irresistible charm and amazing talent, Lederer more than lived up to all advance notices. Stellar honours are shared by Elissa Landi, who gives a strong and vivid portrayal as the blonde siren of the story. A finished production with tremendous appeal, “Alan of Two Worlds,” is the type of picture destined to bo popular with every class of audience. Excellent fcaturettes include a comedy starring Ruth Ettiug, who sings in her inimitable style, also Clark and McCuldock comedy, Newsreels Flashes. To-morrow —“Morning Glory.’’ Katharine Hepburn and Dougins Fairbanks, Jr., comprise the sensational star team presented in RKO-Radio Pictures’ “Morning Glory,” which opens at the State to-morrow at 11 a.m. Since she swept to stardom in her first picture, “A Bill of Divorcement” and “Little Women,” the dynamic Miss Hepburn has been the talk of the cinema world and • lias remained the screen’s most interesting personality. Fairbanks, Jr., long has been one of the screen’s most popular young stars. A supporting cast, commensurate with the brilliance of the co-stars, is to be found in “Morning Glory,” with Auolphe Mcnjou, Mary Duncan, Frcdric Wantiey, G. Aubrey Smith, Richard Carle, Tyler Brooke and Don Alvarado playing important roles. Miss Hepburn is seen os a girl who fights and wins a gallant struggle for stage recognition, and young Fairbanks portrays a New York playwright. Menjou, in a characterisation which ranks in importance with those of the co-stars, portrays a Broadway producer. Lowell Sherman directed. The screen story is based upon a piny by Zoc Akins.
