Fire Rehabilitation in Chicago

INCENDIARY ORIGIN POSSIBILITY BEING NVESTGATED. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyngnt. Received Monday, 7 p.m. CHICAGO, May 20. Work was starred to-day to rehabilitate the fire-stricken area. Throughout last night firemen continued to play water on the smoul- ' dering embers. A thorough search revealed that no one was killed, as erroneously reported. However, at least 1500 suffered injuries of one sort or other, pour hundred, including scores of firemen, were severely burned. According to the latest estimates, the damage will exceed 10,000,000 dollars. The possibility of the conflagration having an incendiary origin is being investigated. One official commented there had been labour difficulties at the stock yards recently, hut he made no specific charges.
