i'rom Our Own Correspondent. Air. \V, M. Duncan presided at a meeting of the Apiti Ex-pupils Committee on Thursday evening. The business before the meeting was the finalising of arrangements for the reunion celebrations commencing on Friday night. Ex-pupils from various parts of New Zealand will be visiting Apiti and all attending arc assured of a happy time. Domain Board. The annual meeting of the. Apiti Domain Board was held on Tuesday evening. Messrs \V. McKay (chairman), \V. J. Osborne, C. F. Files. C. 0. Spence, C. Osborne, C. H. Mclntyre and \V. O. Alorris (secretary) were present. Tlie balance sheet disclosed a credit balance of £97 Os Id. All members were re-elected, Air. AV. AlcKay its chairman, and Air. W. G. Morris as secretary-treasurer. The Domain Board was responsible for the concrete work from the hall door to the war memorial arch; and Air. T. Brazier was complimented oil the execution of this work. The Apiti Football Club's offer to lease the domain for fho football season was accepted. Farmers’ Union. The Apiti branch of the Farmers' Union hold its animal meeting on Thursday evening. Air. \V. AlcKay was itt the chair. Air. AV. Hogan (secretary) reported that the membership of this branch had increased to 05. 'Owing to members having many interests, much dilllculty had been experienced ill arranging meetings, with the result that there had been little activity in the branch. The balance sheet disclosed a sound financial position. An honorarium of £t Is was voted to Air. \V. Hogan, retiring secretary, for bis services. The election of oiliccrs for the coming year was as follows: —Chairman, Air. AV. AlcKay, vice-chairmen, Alessrs W. .!. Osborne and W. McKenzie; secretary, Air. A. AV. A'iles; auditor, Air. \V. AlcKcnzic; executive committee, Alessrs J. H. Cowan, AV. Davis, AV. Duncan, J. Enwright, W. Hogan, H. H. Jensen, .J. F. Jensen, C. H. Alelntvre, J. McKenzie, Hugh Osborne, AV. T, Pratt, C. Searle, It. V. Stewart. Alessrs AA r . AlcKay and AA". Osborne were elected delegates to attend the provincial conference. Remits to the conference were fully discussed. It was decided to open a bank account, with tile chairman and secretary as trustees. A member suggested that to sustain interest in the local branch, a meeting should be held in alternate months, but after some discussion the question was left over until next meeting. Football. Apiti juniors met Wanderers at the Apiti Domain on Saturday. AVanderers dominated the play in tiie first half and Apiti were kept on the defensive all the time. Mr. Raymond Watkins, of Stratford, has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Watkins, prior to attending Massey College. Mr. Colin Malone is also in Palmerston North attending Massey College.
