ANNA NEAGLE IS G-IFTED WITH A FINE VOICE In view of the fact that Anna Neagle’s rendering of three musical numbers is one of tbe highlights of “Tbe Little Damozel,” her latest British and Dominions picture, due to be shown at the Palace on November 29, it is a point of great interest that this production has occasioned her debut as a recording “star.”

She visited the His Master’s Voice studios at St. John’s Wood, London, and recorded tho number “What More Can I Ask,” which is one of the musical hits of the film.

Miss Neagle’s brother, Stuart Robertson, i 3 one of the most popular recording artists in England, and has been under contract to the H.M.V. Company for a number of years. Officials speak very highly of Miss Ncagle’s performance on her first record, and state that she may be expected to build up a considerable reputation as a popular recordist, particularly whilo she is associated with productions of ithe quality of “The Little Damozel.” This is a remarkable tribute to the versatility of the British and Dominions star, who not only sings in “The Little Damozel” but also performs a series of dances and creates a highly emotional and richly human character in tho person of Julie Alardy, “The Little Damozel.”
