Milson

A number of residents of Milson and surrounding district assembled at the home of .Ml', and Mrs. 11. R. Benton, at Milson's line, on Friday evening for the purpose of conveying their congratulations to the newly married couple. Quite an enjoyable evening was spent with musical items and songs interspersed with speeches and the usual toasts. Those who contributed to the evening's entertainment were Messrs J. Young and Men fleke, Master 11. Shepherd, Mr. and Mrs. Benton, senr., Mr. T. Gumming, Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. J. Barrill and Mr. Birch. The toasts were in the hands of Messrs Mercer, Buhner and James. The Milson Progressive Association held another successful family dance on Saturday night. Ail*. 11. Dewhurst was lI.C. and supper, handed round by the ladies, left nothing to be desired. .Mr. J. Donaldson, of Montreal street, who has been on the sick list, is quite will again and able to resume his usual duties at the Palmerst'-n North railway station. _ , , Mr. Roy Gillespie, of the traffic branch of the. Palmerston North realway staff, is at present relieving at Foxton.
